The Robert Clements/ACE Scholarship is designed for Bermudian students interested in pursuing careers in the international insurance industry. As a successful Robert Clements/ACE Scholar you will have the opportunity to study for an undergraduate or graduate degree majoring in corporate law, accounting, economics, insurance, risk management or actuarial science at accredited universities worldwide.
The Robert Clements/ACE Scholarship is one component of the ACE Foundation Career Paths educational initiative, designed to provide career development resources for all Bermudians from primary to high school, to trade school and university, and on to successful careers.
Robert Clements
The scholarship was established by ACE in 1996 in recognition of Mr. Clements’ contribution to the creation of ACE Limited in 1985 and in celebration of the completion of ten years of successful business in Bermuda.
Scholarship Overview
- The Scholarship provides financial support for a period of up to four years for full-time study in graduate or undergraduate programmes in insurance, risk management, actuarial science or related disciplines
- The Scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board, books, round trip air transportation, and employment opportunities
- The Scholarship is funded by The ACE Foundation - Bermuda
- The Scholarship is awarded annually by the Scholarship Selection Committee
Criteria for Selection
- Candidates must provide a letter of acceptance from accredited university
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- Candidates must possess a genuine desire to pursue a career in insurance
Required Documentation
- Completed application form
- Applicant’s appraisal form
- Two additional references under confidential cover
- Original academic transcripts and copies of academic certificates
- Passport size photo
- A copy of applicant’s birth certificate
- A medical certificate
