ACE, as a learning organization and Investors in People company, is committed to providing the best learning and development opportunities for its employees.  ACE takes pride in extending these opportunities to the community and offers numerous options to talented and motivated students.  ACE believes it has an important role to play in creating a potential talent pool for Bermuda, in preparing students to enter the workplace, and in nurturing young talent to become the business leaders of tomorrow.

ACE makes a significant investment in the development of students through several programs designed to provide scholarship funds and on the job learning experiences.

 The ACE Foundation’s programs include:

  • Madeline Joell Nest Egg Fund – offers educational grants of up to $10,000 per year to each of Bermuda’s public primary schools for programs that assist in the promotion of academic excellence in the core disciplines.
  • The Annual ACE Foundation Career Fair at Bermuda College – offers students up to 80 exhibitors representing all areas of professional and technical careers.  The goal of the Fair is to provide students with the opportunity to make the connection between their school studies and the workplace. 
  • Robert Clements / ACE Scholarship – offers an annual fully funded scholarship for undergraduate or graduate degree courses at an accredited university for up to four years to Bermudian students studying any subject related to the insurance industry including law, accounting, economics, insurance, risk management or actuarial science.
  • ACE / Bermuda College Education Award – part of the ACE Group and Bermuda College partnership, the education award is offered to qualified graduates of Bermuda College who are enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university. The education award of $15,000 per year covers tuition and fees for up to two years immediately following Bermuda College graduation.
  • The Duperreault Fellowship - offers an annual scholarship for Bermudians pursuing a career in Bermuda’s substance abuse prevention and treatment service.

ACE offers the following programs within its Bermuda-based business operations to provide on the job learning and development experiences to students:

  • Summer Internship Program in partnership with HSBC Bank of Bermuda and Deloitte – offers 14 of Bermuda’s top university students an intensive 10 week program immersed in three business environments with real business experiences.
  • ACE Student Employee Program – offers a challenging summer-long work experience for Bermudian university students allowing them to gain hands on experience in an environment related to their path of study or chosen career.
  • ACE Bermuda Graduate Training Program – offers a two year graduate training program to Bermudians interested in pursuing a career in underwriting with professional and personal development opportunities while gaining practical work experience.
